Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Sr. Technical Program Manager to join Leo Finance Technology on a ground-floor satellite initiative. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage SAP and non-SAP integrations, and drive agile delivery from concept through deployment.

You will partner with engineering and business stakeholders, manage risk, and oversee testing, validation, and readiness for production launches in a fast-paced, global environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent.
  • 6+ years of technical product or program management experience.
  • 5+ years of working directly with engineering teams.
  • Experience across cross-functional teams and release coordination.
  • 4+ years implementing and managing SAP ERP solutions, SAP S/4HANA focus.
  • 6+ years in finance, supply chain, consulting or operations with process and systems transformation.
  • Export Control requirements: U.S. citizen/national or eligible status.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of system implementation projects from design through deployment and support, including SAP and non-SAP solutions, integrations with Amazon Corporate systems, third-party solutions, and bespoke development.
  • Build agile delivery plans and deployment project plans, and actively manage risks and issues that impact successful delivery.
  • Manage the project backlog, apply agile principles to plan sprints, and manage cross-team dependencies.
  • Gather business requirements to develop use cases, partner with development and technical teams to build required features, and clearly communicate dependencies while tracking and resolving exceptions.
  • Lead Proof of Concept (POC) sessions to validate that proposed solutions meet defined business requirements.
  • Actively manage Unit Testing, System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, regression testing, and user training.
  • Navigate high levels of ambiguity and drive alignment across cross-functional stakeholder groups.
  • Communicate project status clearly and concisely to broad audiences, and follow escalation paths to keep delivery on track.
  • Apply a strong program management background to lead large, complex, cross-organizational projects, supported by a well-rounded technical foundation.
  • Drive project schedules from design to release, manage production launches, and use metrics to report progress and outcomes.
  • Simplify processes and apply innovation, creativity, and sound judgment to solve complex problems.
  • Establish and promote team best practices, manage competing priorities, and proactively identify and mitigate risks before they become blockers.
  • Write clear, data-driven narratives and present findings concisely to senior leadership.
  • Design and implement program and team processes and tools as business needs require.

Are you ready to get in on the ground floor of Leo, Amazon's long-term initiative to design, launch and maintain a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites to provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world? It's Day 1 for Amazon's next billion-dollar business and we are looking for a Sr. Technical Program Manager to work in a start-up environment who is passionate about technology and information systems, who thinks and acts globally, and has the ability to create and implement solutions. The ideal candidate will possess both the technical background that enables them to work with technology and a demonstrated ability to think broadly and strategically about Project Kuiper initiatives. They will experience a wide range of problem-solving situations requiring an understanding of technical infrastructure and stakeholder expectations.

Key job responsibilities

This role will be highly collaborative, requiring partnerships with cross-functional leaders to drive results. You will manage initiatives to make progress and drive execution in an agile delivery environment. You will tackle challenging business problems and have the opportunity to work with Leo and Corporate technical teams.

About The Team

Leo Finance Technology (LFT) is a part of Devices and Services (DaS) FinTech team supporting Leo Finance. LFT provides program management, SAP product, bespoke fintech solution and BI reporting solutions to support Leo business initiatives.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
  • 6+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 5+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
  • 4+ years of implementing and managing SAP ERP solutions, with a strong focus on SAP S/4HANA experience
  • 6+ years of experience in finance, supply chain, consulting or operations role with proven experience in leading process and systems transformation initiatives.
  • Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools.
  • Experience with SAP S/4 HANA, Oracle, and Coupa applications.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
