Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Senior SAP BTP Developer to design and develop SAP BTP solutions with a strong UI5 background. The role demands deep SAP BTP, UI5/Fiori, RESTful ABAP, and CDS/Analytics expertise, plus collaboration with stakeholders to align tech with business goals.

Candidate should have 8+ years in SAP development, 3+ years in BTP/Fiori/UI5, and be comfortable with DevOps, SAP Build, and ABAP Cloud to drive innovative cloud-native solutions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in SAP development with 3+ years in SAP BTP/Fiori/UI5.
• Strong UI5/Fiori UI development skills and SAP BTP service design knowledge.
• Familiarity with SAP Build and ABAP Cloud; Agile/DevOps mindset.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope and align technical solutions with business goals.
• Conduct code reviews, optimize performance, and troubleshoot SAP BTP apps for stability and security.
• Implement DevOps and CI/CD pipelines for SAP BTP projects.
• Stay current with SAP technologies and recommend continuous improvement.
• Provide technical guidance to improve SAP BTP best practices and processes.
• Hands-on with Cloud Application Programming Model and RESTful ABAP Programming Model.
• Experience with SAPUI5, Fiori Elements, OData, CDS Views, and Embedded Analytics on BTP.
• Understand SAP Cloud Platform services and integrate with SAP modules and third-party apps.
• Work with SAP Build Process Automation and Workflow.
• Advise IT and business on SAP BTP migrations using Agile and DevOps.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and future SAP developments; promote clean core methods.

Job Summary:

The Senior SAP BTP Developer will be responsible for designing and developing BTP solutions that meet our business requirements. They should have a strong UI5 development background in SAP and extensive experience working with BTP.

Job Responsibilities & Qualifications:

• At least 8+ years of experience in SAP development and must have 3+ years of SAP BTP/Fiori/UI5 development experience.
• Understand the architecture, strategy, and design of SAP BTP services in alignment with SAP's guidelines.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure alignment between technical solutions and business objectives.
• Conduct code reviews, performance optimizations, and troubleshooting to maintain the stability, scalability, and security of SAP BTP applications.
• Implement DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes for SAP BTP projects.
• Stay current with emerging SAP technologies, tools, and trends, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement and innovation.
• Establish processes/tools and provide technical guidance to influence and improve our best practices related to the SAP BTP applications.
• Hand-On experience in Cloud Application Programming Model, RESTful ABAP Programming Model, using Business Application Studio
• Hands on experience with SAPUI5, Fiori Elements, OData Service, CDS Views & Embedded Analytics on SAP BTP Cloud Platform.
• Good understanding of the standard services/libraries of the SAP Cloud Platform.
• Good understanding of the integration of SAP BTP with other SAP modules and third-party applications to ensure seamless data flow and process automation.
• Experience working with SAP Build Process Automation, Workflow
• Provide advice and support both IT and business in their transition towards SAP BTP using Agile and DevOps methodologies.
• Responsible to keep abreast of industry trends and innovations and future SAP development for respective process areas.
• Experience working with SAP Build and ABAP cloud in achieving clean core methodology. Strong analytical ability, judgment, and problem analysis techniques.
• Solid troubleshooting skills, including tracing, logs, etc.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external business partners.

In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ’s Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is $140,000.00 - $170,500.00

This is a hybrid role. Tuesday through Thursday are in-office days at BJ's Club Support Center in Marlborough, MA and Monday and Friday are remote days.
