Job summary

BJ's Wholesale Club in Marlborough, MA seeks a seasoned Senior SAP ABAP Developer / Technical Architect to lead SAP development and digital transformation initiatives. You will partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to design scalable, high-performance SAP solutions across S/4HANA and Fiori, implementing CAPM and RAP where appropriate.

The role requires deep ABAP, S/4HANA architecture, and RICEF experience, plus strong collaboration and governance skills.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of strong experience as a Senior SAP ABAP Developer / Technical Architect.
• Deep expertise in SAP ABAP, SAP S/4HANA architecture, RICEF development, and SAP FIORI UI5.
• Experience with SAP BTP, CAP Model (CAPM), and RAP (RESTful Application Programming Model) is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support RICEFW objects including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows using ABAP, OOABAP, CDS Views, ALV, Adobe Forms, Smart Forms, User Exits, BAdIs, and Enhancement Framework.
• Develop and maintain inbound/outbound integrations using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, OData Services, REST/SOAP APIs, and SAP best practices.
• Build and enhance SAP Fiori applications, OData Services, and backend APIs while supporting migration of legacy SAP GUI transactions to modern Fiori experiences.
• Develop high-performance solutions on SAP S/4HANA utilizing ABAP on HANA, CDS Views, AMDP, Table Functions, HANA SQL, and Code Pushdown.
• Architect and optimize mobile solutions for warehouse and operational users, integrated with SAP, WM, MM, SD, and Logistics Execution processes.
• Collaborate with functional, business, and technical teams to design scalable solutions aligned with SAP Best Practices and enterprise architecture standards.
• Lead the architecture and development of complex SAP S/4HANA enhancements, integrations, and custom applications.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce development standards, and drive initiatives to reduce technical debt and improve performance.
• Ensure adherence to SAP development governance, architecture standards, and technology roadmaps.
• Provide technical leadership for SAP transformation and modernization initiatives, including Fiori, S/4HANA, and BTP-based extensions.
• Experience with SAP BTP, CAPM, RAP, and SAP Build a highly preferred.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in SAP ABAP, SAP S/4HANA architecture, RICEF development, and SAP FIORI UI5. Experience with SAP BTP, CAP Model (CAPM), and RAP (RESTful Application Programming Model) will be considered a strong advantage.
The candidate will partner with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and technical teams to design scalable, high-performance solutions aligned with SAP best practices and enterprise architecture standards.

This is a hybrid role. Tuesday through Thursday are in-office days at BJ's Club Support Center in Marlborough, MA and Monday and Friday are remote days.

In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position.
