Job summary

UGI Utilities, Inc. seeks a seasoned SAP BASIS/HANA Administrator to support and administer SAP across multiple environments (ECC, S/4HANA, FIORI, BW, BO, Solution Manager) including installations, upgrades, performance tuning, and capacity planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information/Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Five years of SAP Basis Administration experience with at least two years in SAP HANA modeling.
• Experience in full lifecycle of large enterprise SAP projects and SAP HANA implementations.
• ITIL Foundation certification (within 12 months) and COBIT familiarity preferred.
• Proficient with SAP environments and governance standards.

Responsibilities

• Administer SAP BASIS/HANA across multiple environments including installations, upgrades, performance tuning and patching.
• Participate in multi-landscape design solutions and architecture recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Manage SAP implementations and upgrades in ECC, S/4HANA, FIORI, BW, BO, and Solution Manager on SAP HANA.
• Design and implement Portal landscape upgrades and patches.
• Collaborate with SAP functional teams, document environments, and provide technical analyses.
• Support IT governance, compliance, and standard operating procedures.

Position Summary:

The SAP BASIS/HANA Administrator will be responsible for the support and administration of all SAP activities and implementations. This includes planning, coordination, and implementation of all changes in SAP including performance and tuning analysis, capacity planning, systems support and planning, application support, and software upgrades.

Principle Accountabilities: Accountabilities are statements documenting the specific and important results which the position is intended to achieve through time. They connect major, significant or principal functions performed to a result, against which some measurement of performance can be applied. List no more than six (6) key items, from most important to least important. Denote the approximate percentage of time allocation with the total percentage of time equaling 100%. Items should be limited to two (2) sentences and should be concisely described.

Production

• SAP BASIS/HANA administration and technical core competencies for tasks including installations and upgrades, problem determination and resolution, software patching, support package application, performance tuning, and project sizing.
• Participation in multi-landscape design solutions, architecture recommendations, and client strategies for continuous improvement.
• Administer SAP implementations and upgrades in multiple environments, including SAP CRM, ECC, SAP ERP S/4, FIORI, Business Warehouse, Business Objects, and Solution Manager deployed on SAP HANA.
• Responsible for the design and implementation of the Portal landscape upgrades and patches.

Planning and Implementation

• Provide analytical skills to evaluate system performance, system health checks, and implementation of tuning improvements.
• Provide technical expertise and participation in technical projects across multiple teams.

Strategic Business Interactions

• Work closely with SAP Functional Teams to coordinate and ensure complete enhancements to company’s enterprise-wide SAP implementation.
• Interact with other IT groups to support IT infrastructure requirements.

Administration

• Responsible for documenting the design and landscape of all SAP environments.
• Prepare and present status reports, and technical analysis of relevant issues.
• Perform other duties as requested

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Basic familiarity with Business processes and functions
• Working knowledge of COBIT5 IT Governance & Management framework or other structured industry standard methodologies.
• Excellent verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Familiar with regulatory and compliance items governing IT.
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information/Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, or equivalent discipline.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in a Management or Technical discipline..
• Length of Experience: Five years of experience in SAP Basis Administration with a minimum of two years of experience in SAP HANA modeling and database procedural languages.
• Experience in the full-life cycle of large and complex enterprise services with minimum of 1 year of experience in implementing SAP HANA solutions.
• Certifications: ITIL Foundation certification (at hire or within 12 months in position).
• Preferred: Certifications in COBIT framework.
