Job summary

UGI Utilities, Inc. is seeking an experienced SAP BASIS/HANA Administrator to support and administer SAP activities across multiple environments including ECC, S/4HANA, CRM, FIORI, BW, BO, and Solution Manager on SAP HANA.

You will plan, implement, and tune performance, upgrade systems, and coordinate changes. The role requires five years of SAP Basis experience with at least two years in HANA modeling, ITIL Foundation certification, and familiarity with COBIT governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information/Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Master's degree in Management or Technical discipline preferred.
• Five years of SAP Basis Administration experience with at least two years in SAP HANA modeling and database procedural languages.
• Experience across SAP environments including CRM, ECC, S/4HANA, FIORI, BW, BO, and Solution Manager.
• ITIL Foundation certification required at hire or within 12 months; COBIT framework certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• SAP BASIS/HANA administration, installations, upgrades, patching, performance tuning, and project sizing.
• Participate in multi-landscape design, architecture recommendations, and continuous improvement strategies.
• Manage SAP implementations and upgrades across SAP CRM, ECC, S/4HANA, FIORI, BW, BO, and Solution Manager.
• Design and implement Portal landscape upgrades and patches.
• Provide system performance analysis, health checks, and tuning improvements; document landscapes and present status reports.
• Collaborate with SAP functional teams and other IT groups to support enterprise SAP needs.

Position Summary

The SAP BASIS/HANA Administrator will be responsible for the support and administration of all SAP activities and implementations. This includes planning, coordination, and implementation of all changes in SAP including performance and tuning analysis, capacity planning, systems support and planning, application support, and software upgrades.

Principle Accountabilities

Accountabilities are statements documenting the specific and important results which the position is intended to achieve through time. They connect major, significant or principal functions performed to a result, against which some measurement of performance can be applied. Production

• SAP BASIS/HANA administration and technical core competencies for tasks including installations and upgrades, problem determination and resolution, software patching, support package application, performance tuning, and project sizing.
• Participation in multi-landscape design solutions, architecture recommendations, and client strategies for continuous improvement.
• Administer SAP implementations and upgrades in multiple environments, including SAP CRM, ECC, SAP ERP S/4, FIORI, Business Warehouse, Business Objects, and Solution Manager deployed on SAP HANA.
• Responsible for the design and implementation of the Portal landscape upgrades and patches.

Planning and Implementation

• Provide analytical skills to evaluate system performance, system health checks, and implementation of tuning improvements.
• Provide technical expertise and participation in technical projects across multiple teams.

Strategic Business Interactions

• Work closely with SAP Functional Teams to coordinate and ensure complete enhancements to company’s enterprise-wide SAP implementation.
• Interact with other IT groups to support IT infrastructure requirements.

Administration

• Responsible for documenting the design and landscape of all SAP environments.
• Prepare and present status reports, and technical analysis of relevant issues.
• Perform other duties as requested

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Basic familiarity with Business processes and functions
• Working knowledge of COBIT5 IT Governance & Management framework or other structured industry standard methodologies.
• Excellent verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Familiar with regulatory and compliance items governing IT.
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information/Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, or equivalent discipline.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in a Management or Technical discipline.
• Length of Experience: Five years of experience in SAP Basis Administration with a minimum of two years of experience in SAP HANA modeling and database procedural languages.
• Experience in the full-life cycle of large and complex enterprise services with minimum of 1 year of experience in implementing SAP HANA solutions.
• Certifications: ITIL Foundation certification (at hire or within 12 months in position).
• Preferred: Certifications in COBIT framework.
