Role overview

The Senior SAP Basis Engineer owns the technical delivery of support and enhancement work across client SAP landscapes and satellite systems. Acting as a primary delivery contact for assigned accounts, the engineer partners with client technical staff and internal delivery teams to keep mission-critical environments healthy. The position is fully remote within the United States and requires U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule client maintenance, upgrades, and patching windows
• Serve as the main technical point of contact for assigned client accounts
• Execute SAP migrations, landscape refreshes, backup and recovery, and high-availability configuration work
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and lead root cause analysis alongside development teams

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Sciences, or equivalent experience
• 8–10 years of hands-on SAP Basis engineering experience
• 3+ years operating in a 24x7 service provider or advanced IT organization
• Solid background administering SAP HANA and SAP Sybase databases
• Understanding of SAP security principles and Linux-based environments

Nice to have

• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Ansible, and configuration management tooling
• Familiarity with agile engineering practices such as Kanban and continuous delivery
• Working knowledge of ITSM platforms, ServiceNow preferred
• Exposure to AWS and Azure commercial or government cloud services
• Development experience with Python or Java

• Base salary of $120,000–$140,000 USD
