Job description

This position will be hybrid based out of American Fork, UT. Unfortunately, Henry Schein One is unable to hire individuals residing in Alaska, North Dakota, Hawaii, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Washington DC, Puerto Rico, or other US Territories at this time. This role will only consider W2 candidates and not C2C candidates.

Job Summary

The Sr Salesforce Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementing customizations, applications, extensions, and integrations within the Salesforce cloud. Leverages an advanced understanding of general business operations and existing frameworks for design, build and release of solutions and capabilities. Work to create and maintain custom applications and processes within Salesforce, integrate third-party platforms, and troubleshoot technical issues within existing code.

What you will do

• Design and prototype solutions, primarily on the Salesforce platform using Apex programming language and Lightning, Lightning Web Components, and Salesforce Unit Testing


• Customize objects, fields, record types, page layouts, validation rules, workflows (and successor options that replace them), process builder, email alerts, approval processes, list views, reports, and dashboards


• Perform and coordinate testing both in Salesforce and other applications


• Manage and maintain standards for requirements gathering and documentation


• Research and learn new technologies and development tools

Qualifications

Must haves

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent professional working experience


• 5+ years of experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, and development on the Salesforce platform


• Understanding of the architecture, capabilities, and constraints of the Salesforce platform in multiple instances and clouds


• Proven experience with Force.com developer toolkit - Lightning Component Framework, Apex, Visualforce, Aura components, SOQL, Webservice/SOA, Metadata APIs, and Unit Testing


• Proven experience in core web technologies including HTML, JavaScript, jQuery; and web services (REST & SOAP, JSON & XML, etc.)


• Understanding and experience with iPaaS solutions such as Tibco or similar solutions


• Experience with DevOps tools, specifically Copado or Gearset


• Good verbal and written communication skills, particularly around technical documentation


• Good presentation and public speaking skills


• Ability to build partnerships at all levels within the company

Nice to have

• Experience integrating Salesforce with other applications using REST & BULK APIs


• Proven experience with Scrum or other Agile development methods preferred


• Salesforce certifications: App Builder, Platform Developer I/II, etc.
