Job summary

Cherokee Federal in the United States is seeking a Senior Salesforce Consultant to lead delivery across Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, and custom CRM solutions. You will elicit requirements, document processes, and translate needs into actionable user stories while aligning with mission and regulatory standards.

You will collaborate with Salesforce Admins, Developers, and Architects, support backlog grooming and UAT, and help drive change management for government programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 6–8 years of experience as a Salesforce Business Analyst/Consultant or similar.
• Experience supporting Salesforce in federal/public sector or regulated environments.
• Strong business analysis: elicitation, process modeling, user stories, acceptance criteria.
• Experience with Agile or hybrid Agile delivery.

Senior Salesforce Consultant

We’re seeking a seasoned Senior Salesforce Consultant to join our team supporting federal and public sector initiatives. This role involves close collaboration with clients and internal delivery teams to elicit business requirements, document current and future-state processes, develop user stories and acceptance criteria, and ensure Salesforce solutions align with mission, policy, and operational needs. The Salesforce Consultant serves as a key liaison between stakeholders and technical teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.

• Estimated Starting Salary Range for Senior Salesforce Consultant: $120-140k
• Pay commensurate with experience.

Senior Salesforce Consultant Responsibilities Include

• Support end-to-end Salesforce delivery across core platform capabilities, including Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, and custom CRM solutions, with a focus on business analysis and requirements definition.
• Act as the primary liaison for business stakeholders, building strong relationships and serving as a trusted advisor throughout discovery and delivery phases.
• Lead and facilitate discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, and workshops to elicit business, functional, and reporting requirements.
• Document current-state and future-state business processes, workflows, and use cases to support solution design.
• Translate business needs into well-defined user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements aligned with Agile methodologies.
• Collaborate closely with Salesforce Administrators, Developers, and Architects to ensure requirements are clearly understood and solutions meet stakeholder expectations.
• Support backlog grooming, sprint planning, and ongoing prioritization in partnership with Product Owners and project leadership.
• Validate requirements and solution designs through walkthroughs, prototypes, and iterative stakeholder feedback.
• Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test scenario creation, execution support, defect triage, and final sign-off.
• Ensure solutions comply with federal governance, security, data, and regulatory standards.
• Contribute to change management efforts, including documentation, training materials, and stakeholder communications.

Senior Salesforce Consultant Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities Requested

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 6–8 years of experience as a Salesforce Business Analyst / Salesforce Consultant, Functional Analyst, or CRM Consultant, with a minimum of 10 years of overall professional experience.
• Proven experience supporting Salesforce implementations in federal, public sector, or other highly regulated environments.
• Strong business analysis expertise, including requirements elicitation, process modeling, user story development, and acceptance criteria definition.
• Experience working within Agile or hybrid Agile delivery frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable functional requirements without direct responsibility for configuration or development.
• Working knowledge of Salesforce platform capabilities sufficient to guide solution discussions and collaborate effectively with technical teams (hands‑on configuration not required).
• Experience supporting large, multi-stakeholder programs with diverse user groups.
• Salesforce Certified Administrator or other relevant Salesforce certification preferred.
• Additional certifications preferred, including Business Analysis, Agile, or Salesforce Consultant–level credentials.
• Willingness to maintain and assign Salesforce certifications to Cherokee Federal and pursue additional certifications as required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation, and documentation skills.
• Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
