You will serve as a strategic thought partner to Sales and work closely with the Omni-channel team, Finance, Revenue Growth Management, Demand Planning, Supply Chain, Marketing and Category Management. As the analytical lead for Walmart Grocery, you will strengthen forecast quality, surface risks and opportunities, create repeatable team processes and build insight-led stories that influence internal and customer decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the monthly Walmart Grocery forecast for base and incremental volume, aligning assumptions across Sales, Omni-channel, Finance, Demand Planning and Supply Chain.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and bias, translate gaps into customer and financial implications, and drive timely corrective actions to improve business outcomes.
  • Develop scenario models using historical trends, promotional lift, distribution, velocity, inventory and customer inputs to guide demand and shipment decisions.
  • Own weekly Monday reporting, weekly business reviews and monthly business reviews, clearly identifying performance trends, decisions, owners and follow-through actions.
  • Lead customer-facing analytics and selected planning discussions for line reviews, Quarterly Business Reviews, Joint Business Planning and recurring Walmart meetings, including presentations to customer merchants.

  • Use Walmart Scintilla, Retail Link, Item 360, Nielsen, Circana/IRI, Spectra and other available sources to diagnose performance and identify category and brand growth opportunities.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators, including sales, share, velocity, distribution, inventory, profitability, new item performance and promotional effectiveness.
  • Evaluate features and promotions before and after events, measure lift and return on investment, and recommend investment shifts that improve growth and return.
  • Maintain customer commitments, item setup, item maintenance, trade spend visibility, planning inputs and forecasting systems, including TPS or successor platforms, with accurate documentation and controls.
  • Build scalable tools, reports, SharePoint resources and playbooks that create repeatable processes, strengthen handoffs and improve execution across the Walmart Grocery team.
  • Research and help resolve pricing discrepancies and deductions, and coordinate cross-functional recovery plans when performance gaps emerge.
Why You’ll Love This Role
  • Operate as a trusted analytical partner and right hand to the Walmart Grocery sales team, with meaningful visibility across customer and internal decisions.
  • Bring insights directly into customer conversations and help shape the stories presented to Walmart merchants.
  • Create practical processes and tools that leave a lasting handprint on how the team plans, forecasts and measures performance.
  • Build broad commercial experience across sales analytics, customer planning, category insights, forecasting and trade effectiveness, supporting future growth in sales or analytics-focused career paths.
  • Join a collaborative environment that combines big company opportunity with a small company attitude, where curiosity, initiative and strong ideas can make an immediate impact.
Location & Travel Requirements
  • This hybrid role is based in Bentonville, Arkansas, with three days per week in the office.
  • Travel is up to 20% for customer meetings, store or field visits and cross-functional engagements.
  • This is a salaried, exempt role with a schedule aligned to customer and internal business needs.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • At least 3+ years of progressive CPG experience across sales analytics, customer or trade marketing, customer management, category management, shopper insights, forecasting or related disciplines.
  • At least 1 year of experience supporting Walmart, with experience using data to build insights, recommendations, forecasts and business plans that influence commercial decisions.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to manipulate complex data and translate findings into clear action.
  • Working knowledge of forecasting, trade investment, gross margin, pricing, deductions and return on investment.

Success in This Role
