Job summary

St. Mary's Regional Medical Center is seeking a Senior Respiratory Therapist for an in-house 13-week contract in Enid, OK.

You will perform core RRT duties and advanced cardiopulmonary testing within the CardioPulmonary Special Procedures Department, ensuring safe, accurate testing and high-quality patient care. You\'ll join a collaborative team, support direct patient care and diagnostic procedures such as PFTs, EEGs, EKGs, Holter monitoring, and more, while maintaining safety and departmental

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (Associate degree minimum).
• Current Oklahoma RCP license or Provisional Letter.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
• BLS required until ACLS obtained.
• ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire; annual recertification required.
• SECURE training required within six months of hire.
• NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completing diagnostic procedures: Stress Tests, PFTs, EEGs, EKGs, Holter Monitoring, Pentamidine.
• Ensuring proper electrode placement and accurate EEG, EKG, Stress testing, and Holter studies.
• Assessing and monitoring patient condition and recognizing potentially critical situations.
• Performing full PFT testing including Pre/Post bronchodilator, DLCO, Plethysmography, and Slow Vital Capacity.
• Conducting advanced testing such as Histamine/Methacholine Challenge and Nitrogen Washout.
• Setting up and downloading Holter monitors.
• Delivering safe, accurate respiratory care and supporting department operations.
• Participating in rotating call for the testing department.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Respiratory Therapist, you'll support both direct patient care and specialized diagnostic testing. You'll ensure accurate procedures, monitor patient safety, and help maintain seamless departmental operations. Responsibilities include:

• Assessing and monitoring patient condition and recognizing potentially critical situations during testing
• Performing full PFT testing including Pre/Post bronchodilator, DLCO, Plethysmography, and Slow Vital Capacity
• Conducting advanced testing such as Histamine/Methacholine Challenge and Nitrogen Washout
• Setting up and downloading Holter monitors
• Delivering safe, accurate respiratory care to patients with cardiopulmonary difficulties
• Supporting smooth departmental operations and participating in rotating call for the testing department

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

Licensure / Certification / Training

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (Associate degree minimum)
• Current Oklahoma RCP license or Provisional Letter (valid until Board meeting date listed)
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required and maintained
• BLS required until ACLS obtained
• ACLS and PALS required within six (6) months of hire; annual recertification required
• SECURE training required within six (6) months of hire
• NRP preferred

Experience & Skills

• 1-3 years of clinical respiratory therapy experience required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Typing and basic computer skills required
