Job summary

St. Mary7s Regional Medical Center invites you to join our Respiratory Therapy team for a 13-week in-house contract in Enid, Oklahoma.

You will deliver evidence-based cardiopulmonary care, assess patients, document thoroughly, and support department operations in a collaborative, patient-centered environment. You will work within the Oklahoma scope of practice, handle a variety of therapies, and ensure timely therapy starts while maintaining high standards of safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory program with at least an associate degree.
• Current Oklahoma RCP license or Provisional Letter (valid until Board meeting date listed).
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required and maintained.
• BLS required.
• ACLS and PALS required within six (6) months of hire; annual recertification required.
• SECURE training required within six (6) months of hire.
• NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtaining data pertinent to therapy through chart review and physical assessment.
• Administering oxygen therapy, aerosol and humidity therapy, trach care and management, chest physiotherapy, incentive spirometry, suctioning, bedside respiratory measurements, pulse oximetry, and EKGs.
• Completing new therapy starts within one hour and responding promptly to emergency situations.
• Functioning within the Oklahoma Respiratory Care Practitioner scope of practice.
• Cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing equipment per SMRMC policy.
• Routinely cleaning and assembling departmental equipment before end of shift and checking assigned areas for dirty equipment.
• Providing complete and competent ventilatory management for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients, including treatments, airway management, and tracheal suctioning.
• Documenting patient status and care provided, including heart rate, respiratory rate, SaO2, lung sounds, treatment effectiveness, and any adverse reactions.
• Adhering to the "five rights" of medication administration and using two patient identifiers.
• Consistently documenting in iView.

What You'll Do
