Entrust Datacard is seeking a Sr. Rewind Operator to setup, run, clean and maintain rewind equipment on-site during the first shift (5am–2:30pm, Mon–Thu; 5am–9am Fri).

You may also operate tabletop rewind, desktop rewind and label applicator equipment and assist with Package Assembler duties as needed. The role requires 4+ years of rewind equipment experience in flexographic or digital print, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and strong mechanical aptitude.

Formación

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 4+ years’ experience with rewind equipment in a flexographic or digital print environment.
  • Experience with paper, film and poly substrates.
  • Experience using digital measuring devices (rulers, calipers, gauges) to collect data.
  • Mechanical aptitude with hands-on skills.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Ability to stand and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to communicate in basic English and have work authorization in the US.

  • Perform basic math related to rewind operations.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned.

Sr. Rewind Operator Position Overview

The Sr. Rewind Operator will be primarily responsible for set-up, run, cleaning, and general maintenance of rewind equipment working On-site, 1st shift - 5am - 2:30pm Mon - Thur and 5am - 9am Fri. This position is also able to operate tabletop rewind, desktop rewind and Label Applicator equipment (set-up, clean, and general maintenance) and, when needed assist with Package Assembler duties.

Responsibilities
  • Verify through work orders that job processes, spec sheets, samples, proofs and drawings are correct before production run
  • Maintain quality standards by checking registration, for debris and overall quality
  • Use digital instruments and measuring devices to collect and record continuous accurate SPC data
  • Troubleshoot and solve machine related problems such as tension, pressure, settings and web-breaks
  • Detail-oriented, deadline driven, self-directed and organized individual
  • Serve as a mentor for less experienced Rewind Operators
  • Support new product development efforts
  • Ensure a clean, healthy, and safe work environment
  • Perform basic math functions as related to rewind operations
  • Performs other duties and may participate in special projects as assigned

Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 4+ years’ experience working on rewind equipment in a flexographic or digital print environment
  • Experience working with various substrates including paper, film and poly
  • Experience using digital instruments and measuring devices to include rulers, comparators, calipers and gauges to collect and record data
  • Mechanical aptitude with hands-on skills
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Ability to stand continually with frequent bending and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to communicate in basic English; read, write and understand
  • Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience running AB Graphics Omega Rewinders working with films and poly
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, including troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical issues

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Range: The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $19.54-$28.66 per hour (in the primary posting location). Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location, education, skills and experience. This position is also eligible for the company’s discretionary annual incentive plan.
