We seek a highly skilled and motivated Senior Research Scientist / Principal Scientist to join our Global Discovery & Innovation team at our Atlanta R&I Center. You will work on pioneering projects that drive significant future growth in current and new Kemira business areas.

Responsibilities include:

1. Technology scouting and building new partnerships
2. Executing idea screening and incubation
3. Proposing and executing Proof of Concept projects
4. Planning, executing, and managing new technology exploration projects
5. Managing technical aspects of projects and securing progress
6. Performing technoeconomic calculations
7. Patenting and managing intellectual property rights
8. Managing internal stakeholders and external partners
9. Daring to experiment, driving for results, being a proven self-starter
10. Building relationships and new partnerships externally
11. Navigating stakeholders for project agility
12. Applying expertise in Inorganic Chemistry, Materials Science, Process Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Construction Industry Materials, or Mining Process Beneficiation Chemistries
13. Exploring new technologies and solutions
14. Executing long-term innovation projects to enable commercialization
15. Collaborating within a global team with flexible working hours across time zones
16. Up to 10% travel required

Qualifications:

• M.Sc. with over 5 years of experience or
• Ph.D. with 5 to 10 years of experience

Experience in planning, executing, and managing product development projects; scaling technologies; technoeconomic calculations; building partnerships; patenting; chemical formulation; solving manufacturing issues; or related areas is appreciated.
