Job summary

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona is seeking a Senior Reporting and System Administration Specialist to lead reporting modernization, analytics, automation, and governance for scalable, data-driven solutions.

You will anticipate reporting needs across business areas, develop actionable insights for leadership, and drive improvements through innovation, technology adoption, and governance of reporting processes and dashboards.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in reporting analytics or business intelligence, including recurring/ad hoc reports.
• Four years of experience in systems administration, database administration, reporting automation, or related technical support.
• Experience leading complex reporting requests, system changes, data validation efforts, or cross-functional reporting improvements.
• High school diploma or GED in a general field of study.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Senior Reporting and System Administration Specialist serves as the department's subject matter expert for reporting, analytics, and systems. This role leads reporting modernization through advanced analytics, automation, AI-enabled technologies, and reporting governance to deliver scalable, data-driven solutions.

The Senior Specialist anticipates reporting needs for business areas and vendor partners, develops actionable insights for leadership, and drives continuous improvement through innovation, technology adoption, and reporting best practices.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Required Work Experience

• Three years of experience in reporting, data analytics, or business intelligence, including the development of recurring and ad hoc reports.
• Four years of experience in systems administration, database administration, reporting automation, or related technical support.
• Experience leading complex reporting requests, system changes, data validation efforts, or cross-functional reporting improvements.

• Lead advanced reporting and data analysis for complex, cross-functional, or high-visibility operational needs.
• Design, enhance, and maintain reporting solutions that improve visibility into quality, learning and development, workforce readiness, and operational performance metrics.
• Translate business needs into reporting requirements, data layouts, dashboards, automated reports, and actionable insights for leaders and process owners.
• Define and maintain reporting standards, templates, data definitions, and quality-control practices to improve consistency and accuracy across departmental reporting.
• Lead root-cause analysis for recurring reporting, data, or system issues and recommend sustainable process or system improvements.
• Partner with business, IT, Quality Assurance, Learning and Development, and operational stakeholders to evaluate the reporting impacts of process changes, system changes, and new initiatives.
• Serve as the technical lead for complex NICE CXone, CAT, learning management system, SharePoint, SurveyMonkey, and related system-administration needs. Responsibilities include assessing configuration impacts, improving workflows, reviewing access and licenses, and managing escalations.
