Sr Rep, Agency Field Services - Ameritas
Base pay range: $18.72/hr – $29.95/hr
Position Description: The Senior Field Compensation Representative is responsible for providing quality customer service to field offices, producers, representatives, and other partners on complex inquiries. The position ensures internal and external records are completed accurately and timely within regulatory guidelines.
Location: Hybrid – partially in-office and partially from home.
What you do:
- Collaborate with customers on complex situations through written and verbal correspondence to discuss various contract provisions.
- Perform accounting functions as required for the business area.
- Maintain and balance suspense accounts as needed.
- Verify and approve commissions for new business and renewal runs.
- Create debt reports from the compensation system.
- Hold compensation from commission runs by doing a debt compare for each cycle.
- Understand the different contracts and how agents are paid.
- Analyze, process, and service producer/representative onboarding and lifecycle, including transactions throughout the contract.
- Provide authorization for agent of record changes by determining policy compliance while implementing complex process changes.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory rules.
- Train and mentor other associates within the business area.
- May participate as a subject matter expert on projects.
- Perform calculations and percentages for commission adjustments and advances.
- Audit policies as required for accuracy and ensure compensation is paid correctly at all levels and types.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you bring:
- H.S. Diploma or GED required.
- 2-4 years related experience required, including Accounting and/or Customer Service.
- Previous Compensation experience is a plus.
- Microsoft Excel experience preferred (complex calculations and percentages).
- Analytical thinking and keen eye for detail is a plus.
