Sr. Renewables Asset Management Analyst- Energy Storage
Locations: FULLY REMOTE (Anywhere in the USA)
This is an opportunity to join an industry-leading renewable energy venture and IPP with strong private equity backing, focused on developing and executing utility-scale energy storage projects. The company has accumulated over 9GW of projects and is in an accelerated expansion phase.
The Sr. Renewables Asset Management Analyst will join a growing Asset Management Division, focusing on energy storage/battery storage asset management, O&M, energy trading strategies, and real-time operations.
The role involves supporting commercial asset management and technical optimization for renewable energy battery storage assets across a nationwide utility-scale portfolio. It also includes pioneering the build-out of a proprietary energy storage management platform.
This data analytics-driven role requires experience in supporting asset/portfolio contractual agreements, operational budgets, and third-party vendor management.

Responsibilities:
- Manage data analytics dashboards for utility-scale battery storage assets nationwide to ensure optimal operation post-COD.
- Review and coordinate asset-based contractual agreements (PPA, O&M, interconnection, leases, project financing, entity structures) to monitor terms, warranties, and project risks.
- Create and analyze operational budgets using Excel in collaboration with accounting to support asset performance reviews.
- Monitor KPIs to ensure project milestones are met and plants operate at peak performance.
Qualifications:
- Experience in utility-scale renewables asset management, portfolio management, or operations.
- Strong data analytics background supporting renewable energy asset management.
- Proven success in data-driven asset management, including financial performance optimization, O&M, and energy platforms (solar, wind, BESS, etc.).
- Knowledge of financial asset management, including P&Ls, budgeting, deal structures, and cash flow.
- Familiarity with commercial agreements (PPA, O&M, interconnection, leases, financing, entity structures) is a major plus.
- Experience supporting third-party O&M and service provider performance analytics.
- Knowledge of NERC, FERC, ISO/RTO compliance standards.
- Ideal candidates have held roles such as Sr. Portfolio Analyst, Asset Analyst, or similar in renewable or utility companies.
