Sr. Renewables Asset Management Analyst- Energy Storage
Locations: FULLY REMOTE (Anywhere in the USA)
This is an opportunity to join an industry-leading renewable energy venture and IPP with strong private equity backing, focused on developing and executing dynamic utility-scale energy storage projects. The company has accumulated over 9GW of projects and is currently expanding rapidly.
The Sr. Renewables Asset Management Analyst will join a growing Asset Management Division, focusing on energy storage/battery storage asset management, O&M, energy trading strategies, and real-time operations.
This role supports commercial asset management and technical engineering optimization for renewable energy battery storage assets across a nationwide utility-scale portfolio. It also involves pioneering the build-out of a proprietary energy storage management platform.
This is a data analytics-driven role requiring experience with asset/portfolio contractual agreements, operational budgets, and third-party vendor management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage data analytics dashboards for utility-scale battery storage assets nationwide to ensure optimal operation post-COD.
- Review and coordinate asset-based contractual agreements (PPA, O&M, Transmission, Leases, Financing, etc.) to monitor terms, warranties, and risks impacting cost/performance.
- Create and analyze operational budgets using Excel in collaboration with the Accounting team to support asset performance reviews.
- Monitor KPIs to ensure project milestones are met and plants operate at peak performance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in utility-scale renewables focusing on asset or portfolio management or operations.
- Strong data analytics background supporting renewable energy asset management.
- Proven success in data-driven asset management, including financial performance optimization, O&M, and energy platforms (solar, wind, BESS, etc.).
- Knowledge of financial asset management, P&Ls, budgeting, and energy deal structures.
- Familiarity with commercial agreements (PPA, O&M, Transmission, Leases, Financing) is a significant plus.
- Experience supporting performance analytics for third-party O&M contractors and service providers.
- Knowledge of NERC, FERC, ISO/RTO compliance standards.
- Ideal candidates have held roles such as Sr. Portfolio Analyst, Sr. Asset Analyst, Asset Portfolio Associate, or similar in renewable or utility companies.
