Sr. Energy Storage Asset Management Analyst
Locations: FULLY REMOTE (Anywhere in the USA)

This is an opportunity to join an industry-leading renewable energy venture with strong private equity backing that focuses on the development, execution, and operations of dynamic utility-scale energy storage projects. They are at the forefront of the industry, with a nationwide portfolio of over 9GW+ of projects, including a fleet of grid-connected, standalone battery storage assets.

The Sr. Renewables Asset Management Analyst will join a growing Asset Management Division. This team is focused on energy storage/battery storage asset management, O&M, energy trading strategies, and real-time operations. This data analytics-driven role requires experience supporting asset/portfolio contractual agreements, operational budgets, and 3rd party vendor management.

The Sr. Analyst will support commercial asset management and technical engineering optimization initiatives for renewable energy battery storage assets across the country. They will also help develop and utilize a proprietary battery storage/energy storage management platform for utility-scale renewable projects.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage daily data analytics and visual dashboards for utility-scale battery storage assets across ISO/RTOs nationwide to ensure optimal operation after COD.
  2. Review and coordinate asset-based contracts (PPA, O&M, Transmission Interconnection, Development Leases, Project Financing, Entity Structures) to stay ahead of contractual terms, warranties, and project risk assessments.
  3. Create and analyze operational budgets using Excel in collaboration with the Accounting Team to support asset performance analytics.
  4. Monitor KPIs to ensure project development milestones are met and that operating plants perform optimally.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in utility-scale renewables focusing on asset management, portfolio management, or operations management.
  • Strong background in data analytics supporting renewable energy asset management.
  • Proven success in data-driven asset management, including financial performance optimization, O&M management, and energy management across various platforms.
  • Knowledge of financial asset management, including P&Ls, budgeting, energy deal structures, and cash management.
  • Familiarity with commercial agreements (PPA, O&M, Transmission Interconnection, Development Leases, Project Financing, Entity Structures) is highly desirable.
  • Experience supporting performance analytics for third-party O&M contractors and service providers.
  • Knowledge of NERC, FERC, or ISO/RTO compliance initiatives.
  • Ideal candidates include those with roles such as Sr. Portfolio Analyst, Sr. Asset Analyst, Asset Portfolio Associate, Commercial Analyst, or similar in renewable, utility, or clean energy companies.
