Assists in the provision of patient care, therapy support, departmental maintenance, inventory control, and administrative duties as directed by PT, PTA, OT, COTA, SLP in a therapeutic manner which acts to promote the patient's functional ability and lead to improved quality of life. Responsible for training and directing activities of rehab technicians, volunteers, and students.The following is a summary of the major essential functions of this job.Assist PT/OT/SLP staff in patient treatment under direct supervision of licensed team member.Prepare and maintain department treatment areas and equipment for patient use.Assist with entering department charges as applicable.Responsible for assisting with clerical duties for department.Responsible for inventory control of supplies (including DME as applicable).Responsible for departmental safety and quality control monitoring.Responsible for teaching basic rehab technician duties to new rehab technician staff, students, and volunteers.
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
1 year of experience in related field preferred. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy for additional details.
