JOB SUMMARY

Assists in the provision of patient care, therapy support, departmental maintenance, inventory control, and administrative duties as directed by PT, PTA, OT, COTA, SLP in a therapeutic manner which acts to promote the patient’s functional ability and lead to improved quality of life. Responsible for training and directing activities of rehab technicians, volunteers, and students.The following is a summary of the major essential functions of this job.Assist PT/OT/SLP staff in patient treatment under direct supervision of licensed team member.Prepare and maintain department treatment areas and equipment for patient use.Assist with entering department charges as applicable.Responsible for assisting with clerical duties for department.Responsible for inventory control of supplies (including DME as applicable).Responsible for departmental safety and quality control monitoring.Responsible for teaching basic rehab technician duties to new rehab technician staff, students, and volunteers.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Experience: 1 year of experience in related field preferred. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy for additional details.

Physical Demand Code: Medium to Heavy Physical Demand: The job requires constant standing, frequently walking, and bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills. Attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift/push/pull 100 lbs. For any weight over 35 lbs., use Safe Handling Equipment.

The base compensation range for this role is $16.50 - $23.39 hourly.

Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education. Please note that the pay range does not include any applicable incentive compensation programs such as shift differentials, clinical ladders, and other incentives that may be available for those in eligible positions.
