Job summary

Good Samaritan Hospital in California is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate radiology equipment and obtain radiographs as directed by department policy. You may assist physicians with contrast media and sterile procedures, and help coordinate patient flow for efficient service.

The role requires a California Radiologic Technologist license, BLS, and fluoroscopy certification within one year of hire, with duties spanning conventional, fluoroscopic and portable imaging.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of diagnostic principles and procedures and operation of radiologic equipment.
  • Current California Certified Radiologic Technologist credential.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) Provider Course.
  • Fluoroscopy credential required within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Operate conventional, fluoroscopic or portable radiology equipment to obtain radiographs of designated body areas.
  • Assist physicians with more complex examinations by preparing and administering contrast media and assisting in sterile procedures.
  • Serve as resource person to radiologic technologists and support staff and coordinate patient flow.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Under the direction of the Department Director and Clinical Coordinator and according to department policies and procedures, operates conventional, fluoroscopic or portable radiology equipment in order to obtain radiographs of designated body areas.

May perform or assist physicians in carrying out more complex examinations by mixing, preparing and administration of contrast media and assisting in sterile procedures

Serves as a resource person to other radiologic technologists and support staff in resolution of work-related problems and coordinating patient flow

What Qualifications You Will Need
  • Knowledge of diagnostic principles and procedures as well as operation and maintenance of radiologic equipment as acquired through satisfactory completion of an accredited radiologic technology training program
  • Current California Certified Radiologic Technologist
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Provider Course
  • Current California Radiologic Technologist Fluoroscopy required within one year of hire
