Job summary

MountainView Hospital in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Radiology Technician PRN to perform radiographic procedures and provide quality patient care across all ages. The role requires ARRT eligibility, completion of an accredited Radiology program, and BLS certification.

This PRN position supports a busy imaging department with opportunities for growth. The incumbent will operate x-ray equipment, ensure accurate image capture, and collaborate with licensed practitioners to deliver diagnostic

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate from an accredited Radiology school.
  • ARRT registry eligible and registered within six months.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development principles across life span and provides age-appropriate care.
  • Provides health care services applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment.
  • Performs radiographic procedures producing images for interpretation by a licensed practitioner.
  • Exercises professional judgment and maintains high medical ethics.
  • Recognizes conditions essential for successful completion of procedures.
  • Provides leadership and supervision of all employees and students in the diagnostic section.
  • Provides care to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Radiology Technician Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patients served in his/her department.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and provides care needed as described in the departmental policies and procedures
  • Provides health care services applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment
  • Performs radiographic procedures producing images for interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner
  • Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor that reflects a high standard of medical ethics
  • Recognizes conditions essential for the successful completion of procedures
  • Provides leadership and supervision of all employees and students in the diagnostic section
  • Provides appropriate health care services to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients

What qualifications you will need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate from an accredited Radiology school
  • Registry eligible with A.R.R.T. and within six months become registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • Current CPR certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • One year experience preferred
