Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine is seeking a Senior Radiation Therapist to join the Radiation Oncology team in Baltimore. The role involves localizing tumors, participating in treatment planning, and delivering ionizing radiation therapy while serving as the primary liaison between patients and the radiation team.

You will ensure patient safety, participate in weekly quality assurance reviews, and mentor Radiation Therapy students and new staff as part of a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree preferred but not required.
• Graduate of an approved Radiation Therapy Technology program.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy.
• State certification for Medical Radiation Technologist.
• Three (3) to five (5) years clinical experience in all modalities as a radiation therapist.
• Three (3) years’ experience within a comprehensive and cancer center.

Responsibilities

Our team of radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, physicists, therapists and nurses are all specially trained to treat specific cancers, and we work side-by-side with other Johns Hopkins experts, including surgical oncology, medical oncology, pathology, and interventional radiology to create individualized treatment plans for each patient, using targeted technology. Johns Hopkins Radiation Oncology department is currently searching for a full-time Sr. Radiation Therapist to join their team. As a Senior Radiation Therapist, you will:

• Assist in localizing tumors, participate in treatment planning and delivering Ionizing radiation therapy

Minimum Qualifications:

Status

Full-Time, 40 hours per week

Day Shift, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Salary Range: Minimum 42.33/hour - Maximum 69.88/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
