Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or Certification in Radiologic Technology required or preferred Bachelor's degree.
• Graduate of an approved Radiation Therapy Technology program.
• Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy.
• State certification for Medical Radiation Technologist and CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in orienting new staff and students.
• Oversee staff and ensure proper coverage in clinical and support areas.
• Conduct monthly departmental meetings with Manager.
• Enforce all radiation safety measures for patients and staff.
• Lead departmental initiatives and develop policies/procedures for therapist staff.

Our team of radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, physicists, therapists and nurses are all specially trained to treat specific cancers, and we work side-by-side with other Johns Hopkins experts, including surgical oncology, medical oncology, pathology, and interventional radiology to create individualized treatment plans for each patient, using targeted technology. Our patient safety program - cited as one of the best in the nation - employs quality assurance protocols and innovative techniques to ensure the safety and well-being of all our patients.

Johns Hopkins Radiation Oncology Department Is Currently Searching For Chief Radiation Therapist To Help Lead Our Elite Team. As a Chief Radiation Therapist, You Will

• Assist in orienting new staff and students

• Observe and enforce all radiation safety measures for patients and staff
• Lead departmental initiatives
• Develop policies and procedures for the therapist staff

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or Certification in Radiologic Technology. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Graduate of an approved Radiation Therapy Technology program
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy
• State certification for Medical Radiation Technologist
• Valid CPR card
• Seven (7) or more years of Radiation Therapy experience (with progressive responsibility)

Status

Full-Time, 40 hours per week

On Call Required

Salary Range: Minimum 48.40/hour - Maximum 79.92/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
