Job summary

System One in Paterson, NJ is seeking a Sr. Quality Supervisor to lead daily quality and food safety activities within the facility.

This onsite role ensures GMP, HACCP, SQF, and FDA compliance through audits, inspections, and thorough review of batch records and sanitation logs. You will drive CAPA, support customer, regulatory, and third-party audits, and promote continuous improvement with Operations, Warehouse, and Sanitation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, QA or equivalent.
• English/Spanish bilingual required.
• 3+ years in food manufacturing, QA or food safety.
• Audit experience and strong GMP/HACCP/SQF knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily quality and food safety activities.

• Conduct routine inspections, line checks, and audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily quality and food safety activities throughout the facility
• Monitor compliance with GMP, HACCP, SQF, FDA, and company quality standards
• Conduct routine production floor inspections, line checks, and facility audits
• Review quality documentation, batch records, and sanitation logs for accuracy and compliance
• Investigate quality issues, non-conformances, customer complaints, and food safety incidents
• Coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and follow up on implementation
• Support and prepare for customer, regulatory, and third-party audits including SQF and SMETA
• Assist with environmental monitoring, allergen control, and sanitation verification programs
• Ensure product holds, releases, and dispositions are handled according to procedures
• Partner with Operations, Warehouse, and Sanitation teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Conduct GMP and food safety training for employees and new hires
• Monitor calibration and verification activities for quality equipment
• Maintain accurate records and ensure audit readiness at all times
• Promote a strong food safety and quality culture throughout the organization

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Quality Assurance, or HSD with experience
• Bilingual English/Spanish required
• 3+ years of experience in food manufacturing, quality assurance, or food safety
• Strong knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, SQF, FDA regulations, and food safety systems
• Previous audit experience required
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
