Job summary

MPI is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead quality assurance and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations for a globally recognized industrial manufacturer. This highly visible role partners with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Engineering or related field, 5+ years in quality/manufacturing, aerospace experience, RCCA expertise, and knowledge of

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality or related field.
  • 5+ years in Quality, Manufacturing or Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years aerospace industry experience.
  • Strong RCCA methodologies and data analysis skills.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and technical docs.
  • Experience with QMS and ERP/MRP environments.
  • Knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, ISO standards and aerospace quality.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership.
  • Six Sigma Belt or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead escape management, identify root causes and drive CAPA.
  • Facilitate cross-functional problem-solving teams for issues.
  • Partner with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders to improve quality.
  • Manage RMA activities and investigations.
  • Develop and present quality metrics, dashboards and leadership reports.
  • Use KPIs and data analysis to drive improvement projects.
  • Provide technical quality support to manufacturing and operations.
  • Investigate hardware/assembly issues to meet requirements.
  • Oversee MRB activities, documentation and disposition.

Description

  • Lead the escape management process, identifying root causes and driving corrective and preventive actions.
  • Facilitate cross-functional problem-solving teams to resolve product quality and operational challenges.
  • Partner with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders to improve quality performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage RMA activities and ensure timely investigation and resolution.
  • Develop and present quality metrics, dashboards, and performance reports to leadership.
  • Utilize KPIs and data analysis to drive continuous improvement projects.
  • Provide technical quality support to manufacturing and operations teams.
  • Investigate hardware and assembly issues to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate product quality concerns and status updates across multiple departments.
  • Oversee MRB activities, documentation, and disposition processes.
  • Support additional quality and operational initiatives as needed.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Physical Sciences, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing, or Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of aerospace industry experience.
  • Strong expertise in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) methodologies.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Experience working within Quality Management Systems and ERP/MRP environments.
  • Knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, ISO standards, and aerospace quality requirements.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Six Sigma Belt certification or equivalent experience is highly preferred.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States and meet ITAR requirements.
