Job description

Position Summary

Focal for ensuring that quality requirements are fully understood and implemented, and for continually improving the quality of products and services to our customers. Supporting the Quality Technicians and Quality Manager in various tasks to ensure compliance with quality standards. Assisting in internal defect reduction through involvement with MRB and other improvement activities. Responsible for assisting in reliability and other statistical calculations.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support and backup to the Quality Technician and inspection personnel to ensure effective implementation of inspection and testing requirements.
  • Responsible for Material Review Board (MRB) for internal defects, with support from Quality Technicians as needed.
  • Ensure effective root cause and corrective action analysis for nonconformance through internal MRB activities. Assist manufacturing and engineering with corrective actions.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of nonconformance tags before data entry into the defect database.
  • Assist Receiving Inspectors as required, review returned materials, and track turnaround time (TAT).
  • Implement Statistical Process Control (SPC) process control charts and control plans.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement Teams and special projects.
  • Conduct audits of quality systems, manufacturing processes, and products, providing reports and initiating corrective actions with follow-up.
  • Verify the effectiveness of corrective actions implemented.
  • Review engineering documentation for compliance as needed.
  • Assist the Quality Manager in contract review activities.
  • Provide training as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Four (4) year engineering degree or CQE certification, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of four years’ experience in Quality or Manufacturing Engineering in a manufacturing environment.
  • Aerospace industry experience preferred.
  • Six Sigma/Greenbelt or higher certification preferred.
Accountability

This position is under ITAR regulations and requires compliance with export control laws. A “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) is required.

Salary Range

USD 80,000 – 100,000 annually.
