Job summary

Pura, a fragrance and smart home technology innovator, seeks a Senior Quality Engineer to strengthen QA in a high-volume manufacturing setting. You will own QMS, PPAP submissions, and CAPA programs while driving supplier quality and regulatory compliance.

You will lead cross-functional teams to reduce defects, implement Lean/Six Sigma improvements, and ensure GD&T adherence, enabling scalable product excellence across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• ASQ, CQA, or CQE certifications are preferred.
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing with PPAP/SPC familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain a Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
• Lead end-to-end PPAP submission process for new products and changes, meeting internal and customer requirements.
• Establish and track quality metrics to monitor and improve manufacturing performance.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
• Drive quality initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Perform SPC and analyze production and testing data to address quality gaps.
• Oversee supplier quality management including audits and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with R&D and production to optimize product requirements and GD&T adherence.
• Direct IQC, IPQC, and OQC frameworks for components, finished goods, and packaging.
• Improve lot tracking and traceability systems.
• Support audits and inspections and assist with regulatory inquiries.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Your Role at Pura:

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Quality Engineer to support and enhance our quality assurance processes in a high-volume manufacturing environment, particularly within the hardware industry. This role will be responsible for ensuring product integrity, optimizing quality control processes, and leading root cause analysis initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in regulatory compliance, continuous improvement methodologies, supplier quality management, and will consistently and proactively implement continuous improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Own:

• Develop, implement, and maintain a Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
• Lead the end-to-end PPAP submission process, ensuring all documentation meets both internal quality standards and customer‑specific requirements for new product launches and engineering changes.
• Establish and track quality metrics to monitor and improve manufacturing performance.
• Lead robust root cause analysis initiatives and execute comprehensive corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to resolve product and process‑related issues.
• Drive quality engineering initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce defects, and support continuous improvement using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Perform SPC and analyze production and testing data to identify and address quality gaps.
• Oversee supplier quality management, including audits, corrective actions, and process improvements.
• Collaborate with R&D and production teams to optimize product requirements, ensure stability, and maintain adherence to GD&T principles
• Direct and optimize IQC, IPQC, and OQC quality control frameworks for raw components, finished goods, and packaging to maintain strict adherence to regulatory and internal compliance standards.
• Improve lot tracking and traceability systems.
• Facilitate and provide technical support for internal and external audits, including partner and regulatory inspections, to ensure ongoing compliance.Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support business needs and operational objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment with proficiency in PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, and SPC.
• ASQ, CQA, or CQE certifications
• Working knowledge of ASME Y14.5 (GD&T)
• Experience in factory setup, process validation, and quality systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or similar).
• Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and PFMEA.
• Hands‑on experience with manufacturing automation, robotics, and smart factory technologies is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a data‑driven mindset.
• Excellent project management and leadership abilities.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional peers and external partners within a global organizational framework.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally 25% of the time.
