Position Summary

We’re a leader in the pet care industry, which means we’re not only ahead in volume, profit, and market share, we’re at the forefront of innovative product and process development that’s allowing us to lead the march in pushing pet nutrition forward. Your larger team – the Technical Services group – creates the flavors, shapes, and textures often developed in marketing and brought to life through innovative engineering.

This position is responsible for providing operational support within the quality department on off shifts by coordinating hold product disposition activities, serving as the primary backup formulation specialist, and maintaining certifications and all other required trainings to provide coverage for traditional laboratory roles in the factory. This position will also uphold safety and quality as core values in all activities while actively participating in all factory Safety and Continuous Improvement initiatives.

  • Ensure production continuity by making necessary changes and maintaining contact with formulation specialists.
  • Disposition items promptly to avoid prolonged inventory holds and assist with holds.
  • Support formulation specialists by setting up recipes and being the point of contact for recipe issues.
  • Maintain accurate held product inventory, apply disposition in EWM, manage SAP, and audit holds for unreleased inventory.
  • Serve as a backup for formulation issues, addressing batching problems and changing recipes as needed.
  • Coordinate held product disposition activities with warehouse and packing teams, and communicate with production teams on hold reasons.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of experience Quality Assurance experience in a lab, manufacturing, warehouse, military, or related environment required.

The approximate pay range for this position is $56,100 - $74,800. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
