About the Role
POSITION SUMMARY:
Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in designing and implementing end‑to‑end test automation frameworks using Playwright, Cucumber, Jest, Supertest, andTypeScript, with additional experience in Python‑based testing. Proven track record validating complex web and API platforms including Salesforce implementations and backend services, with a focus on maintainable test architecture, CI/CD integration, and quality at speed.
FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks supporting large, enterprise-level architectures.
- Write robust automation scripts for end-to-end UI and functional testing of the application
- Develop and maintain BDD test suites to ensure alignment between business requirements and automated tests.
- Build and maintain API automation test suites ensuring comprehensive coverage of RESTful services.
- Perform automated testing against CRM platforms, including programmatic interaction with CRM APIs.
- Write and optimize queries to support data validation, test data management, and database-layer testing.
- Develop scripting utilities to support testing infrastructure and tooling.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring continuous testing and rapid feedback within the development workflow.
- Collaborate with team leads to provide clear, timely, and actionable status updates on testing progress, coverage, and defect findings.
- Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution, partnering with developers to diagnose root causes.
- Champion QA best practices and contribute to a culture of quality across engineering teams.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.

POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree orhigher (Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or Math) or equivalent industry experience.
Experience:
- Seven (7)+years hands on experience in QA automation engineering within large-scale environments.
Skills and Abilities: This may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this assignment.
- Proven track record designing and building automation frameworks from the ground up, not just maintaining existing ones.
- Strong hands‑on experience with Playwright and TypeScript for UI and end‑to‑end test automation.
- Demonstrated experience in API test automation using tools/frameworks such as Playwright API, SuperTest, Jest, or similar technologies.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce CRM and experience using JSforce for Salesforce API interaction.
- Proficiency in SQL for test data management and database validation.
- Experience with Python scripting in a testing or tooling context.
- Own and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated test execution, monitoring, and reporting.
- Drive end‑to‑end test automation execution within CI/CD environments.
- Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and comfort working within sprint‑based delivery teams.
- Experience in analyzing, documenting and testing requirements based on complex business, technical and operational needs.
- Experience using AI‑assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or similar platforms to improve engineering productivity and automation efficiency.
- Experience building tools, utilities, or workflows powered by Generative AI and automation technologies. Experience developing AI‑driven automation solutions to improve quality engineering and team productivity.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is $103,000 – $145,000 per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, education, skills, and geographic location. This range does not include potential bonuses, equity, or benefits, which are addressed separately .
