Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Seattle, WA is seeking a QA professional with 3 to 7+ years of experience to drive quality goals in a fast-paced environment. You will leverage Selenium, Copilot, SQL, XML, and JSON to test backend services and integrations, and contribute to automation efforts across projects.

Strong communication, test management knowledge, and CI/CD familiarity (Litmus/Jenkins) are required, with hands-on Git experience and AI-assisted tooling to accelerate script development.

Responsibilities

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to drive quality goals while meeting aggressive delivery deadlines
• Knowledgeable on the principles of test management and testing processes
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Automation skills required using automation tools beyond recording features; Selenium advanced coding methods expected
• QA background with strong analytical skills, with the ability to decompose requirements into testable cases covering positive, negative, and varied data scenarios
• Experience in testing backend services and integrations with upstream/downstream systems
• Development/automation coding expertise is a plus with demonstrated technical skills; specific technology is not critical as most QA professionals can adapt across applications
• SME expertise in web service testing, including strong understanding of XML schema, tools supporting web service interface testing, and JSON
• SME-level SQL skills, including complex query writing, ability to review schema for DB structure understanding, and use of various SQL tools for testing
• Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery/deployment practices using Litmus or Jenkins
• Basic competency with Git source control
• Automation background with strong analytical skills; ability to convert functional test cases into automation scripts
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot in Visual Studio Code to improve test automation productivity, accelerate script development, and enhance code quality through intelligent suggestions and code generation
