Overview
The Client Human Services, Office of Information Technology, is seeking a qualified candidate for the Sr. Quality Analyst/Accessibility Tester position to join their team based in Atlanta, Georgia.
Responsibilities
- Lead testing and audit activities as a Web Accessibility Specialist using manual and automated tools and assistive technologies.
- Conduct accessibility testing to evaluate conformance to WCAG and other standards, using both automated tools and manual testing methods, including testing with assistive technologies.
- Create, document, and manage test plans, cases, and scripts based on software requirements and design documents.
- Perform functional, end-to-end, and regression testing to ensure application quality and reliability.
- Develop and maintain test scripts, standards, and guidelines for accessibility testing and best practices.
- Document defects, issues, and areas for improvement, and prioritize critical ADA defects.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts and clients to understand requirements and provide feedback.
- Act as a subject matter expert in testing web and mobile applications for accessibility.
- Participate in system design, usability testing, and research for accessibility; provide team training and foster innovation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, MIS, Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience as a Quality Analyst with knowledge of QA methodologies.
- Experience with automated testing tools and test management tools like Jira or GitLab.
- Knowledge of ADA tools and standards (e.g., WAVE, JAWS, axe, ANDI).
- 5+ years of experience in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) within agile projects, ensuring conformance to WCAG 2.0/2.1 AA standards.
- Ability to lead QA teams and provide solutions based on best practices.
- Certified Professional in Web Accessibility (CPWA) or Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS).
- Basic knowledge of HTML5 and CSS.
