Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a dedicated Public Safety Officer to perform routine safety and emergency security activities within the facility. You will participate in Public Safety training programs and serve as a first responder to emergencies, ensuring a calm, safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and security experience, with licensure/certifications pursued within the first year.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years in general security or public safety experience.
• Equivalent training and job experience to support effective demonstration of responsible handling of weapons and use of force.
• Valid in-state Driver's license (Georgia) or equivalent.
• IAHSS Certification as a Security Officer within 1 year is required.
• Must pass pre-employment psychological screening.
• Must pass and maintain all training requirements including firearms, taser, ASP baton, and Mental Health First Aid, as directed.
• Georgia POST certification preferred.

• an equivalence of training and job experience to support effective demonstration of responsible handling of weapons and use of force Required

Licenses and Certifications

• DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State Valid Driver’s license & adhere to Piedmont's Healthcare Vehicle Safety Program policy 3500 Upon Hire Required and
• IAHSS - Certification As A Security Officer within 1 Year Required and
• Must pass pre-employment psychological screening Upon Hire Required and
• Must pass and maintain all training requirements to maintain employment to include certifications in Firearms, Taser, ASP Baton, Mental Health First Aid, and others as directed Upon Hire Required
