Texas State University Counseling Center strives to provide services and programs within a framework of professional competence, affirmation, and responsiveness to a variety of lived experiences. Located within the Division of Student Success and accredited by IACS, the Center hosts a well‑respectful APA‑accredited doctoral internship program, practicum training, and a post‑doctoral residency.
In addition to general professional staff duties, this position provides coordination and leadership for the Center’s Anxiety and Stress Management Initiative. The position works with the Associate Director/Clinical Services, the Director, and other Center Leadership to refine the vision, mission, operations, and staffing of the Anxiety Initiative. This position will collaboratively structure the elements of the Initiative with attention to the phase in period; refine program development, delivery and assessment; collaborate with other areas within the Center to share staffing and program resources to serve the needs of student participants; and provide services within a high demand/fast paced setting.
Successful candidates will have a generalist orientation and evidence knowledge and experiences responsive to the needs of a vibrant university community. Further, they will possess specific interests and experiences in providing developmentally‑based services which support the mission of an engaged university counseling center.
