You are an driven Property Accountant with the skills and experience to oversee the full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of affordable housing properties. This role requires a detail-oriented, proactive professional with strong technical skills, particularly in Yardi and GAAP-compliant reporting. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings both accuracy and insight to financial operations.

What you'll be doing:

• Manage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of affordable housing properties
• Prepare timely and accurate monthly and quarterly financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Maintain supporting financial schedules, including fixed assets, taxes, and mortgage tracking
• Conduct bank reconciliations, review AP coding, and ensure expense accuracy
• Process wire transfers, ACH payments, and assist with cash flow oversight and forecasting
• Post month-end journal entries, accruals, and handle intercompany reconciliations
• Assist with annual audits, tax return preparation, and budget development
• Take ownership of special projects, process improvements, and mentor junior staff as needed

What you bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CPA-track preferred)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably within real estate or property management
• Advanced proficiency in Yardi and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities independently
