Insight Global is seeking a Senior Project Scheduler to support transmission and substation capital projects. This role involves forecasting, budget tracking, accrual management, and month-end variance analysis beyond traditional scheduling.

The ideal candidate has Primavera P6 experience, strong project forecasting skills, and a proven track record managing multiple schedules in the utility sector, including transmission and substation projects.

Qualifications

• Approximately 8+ years of project scheduling experience.
• Forecasting and budgeting experience with accruals.
• Primavera P6 experience (at least 1 year).
• Experience coordinating with Project Managers and mentoring junior schedulers.
• Experience managing large portfolios of schedules in the utility sector.

Responsibilities

• Forecast project performance and manage budgets, accruals, and month-end reporting.
• Provide variance analysis and financial oversight across multiple projects.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and lead junior schedulers.
• Manage forecasts for large portfolios of transmission and substation projects.
• Track schedule progress alongside cost performance in an integrated view.

Job Description

Our client is seeking a Senior Project Scheduler to support transmission and substation capital projects. This role goes beyond traditional construction scheduling and includes forecasting, budget tracking, accrual management, month-end variance analysis, and project financial oversight. The ideal candidate will have experience in Primavera P6, project forecasting, and managing multiple projects at once. Utility experience, particularly within transmission and substation environments, is highly preferred.

Skills and Requirements

• Approximately 8+ years of project scheduling experience. Average project is around $5M
• Forecasting experience (at least 1 year preferred).
• Primavera P6 experience (at least 1 year)
• Experience training or mentoring junior schedulers.
• Experience coordinating closely with Project Managers.
• Experience managing large portfolios of schedules.
• Experience understanding overall project health, not just updating schedules
• Experience with project financials, budgets, accruals, and forecastingAbility to manage multiple projects/schedules at one time
• Utility industry experience
