Job description

Title: Sr. Project Manager - Facilities Engineering
Location: Moon Twp., Pittsburgh, PA

The Senior Manager - Facilities Project Engineering is responsible for the overall direction of capital improvement projects managed by the corporate Facilities Engineering Department. These projects include plant expansions and new facility constructions. The Senior Manager will develop and lead a team of Project Engineers and Project Managers to successfully complete multiple projects with an overall value of approximately $50 million. Responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of project engineering such as scope definition, cost estimation, design, construction, and start-up. The role also involves planning and controlling scope, schedule, budget, and quality, ensuring all projects meet financial reporting requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Develop and oversee the annual capital spending plan.
2. Monitor capital spending progress.
3. Assign projects and assemble teams for project execution.
4. Create execution plans utilizing internal and external resources.
5. Maintain technical specifications, equipment specifications, and drawings following best practices.
6. Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure optimal design practices.
7. Ensure all work complies with environmental and government regulations.
8. Communicate effectively with Manufacturing, Leadership, and Procurement teams to achieve project goals.
9. Lead a team of Project Engineers and Project Managers in implementing the capital plan.
10. Adhere to all company policies and safety programs.
11. Define procedures, policies, and standards for the group.
12. Track project costs using SAP Project Systems.
13. Provide regular status, cost, and financial reports on capital planning.
14. Ensure a fair procurement process and evaluate supplier performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• PMP Certification is required.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a heavy industry manufacturing environment.
• At least 10 years of experience as a Project Manager.
• Experience executing engineering and construction contracts for over 20 years.
• At least 2 years managing direct reports.
