Job summary

System One is seeking a Sr Project Engineer in Tulsa, OK. You will lead high-level development projects, serve as the primary technical authority, and respond to advanced customer inquiries regarding product specifications and integration capabilities.

You will educate sales staff and customers on technical solutions, ensure quality standards, and support proposals, quotes, and documentation. You will mentor junior engineers and collaborate across sales, production, and field teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 10+ years of experience in a related engineering field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to explain complex concepts to non-technical clients.
• Strong time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills; meet deadlines and develop creative solutions.
• Strong technical judgment and ability to troubleshoot complex engineering challenges.
• Ability to work independently and produce high-quality deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) or technical documentation software.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Proficiency with SolidWorks CAD or equivalent.

Project Engineer

• Take the lead on high-level development projects, serving as the primary technical authority throughout the sales and execution lifecycle
• Respond to advanced customer inquiries regarding product specifications, features, and integration capabilities
• Communicate with and educate sales staff and customers on technical solutions
• Ensure proposed solutions are correctly sized and constructed to meet quality standards
• Support the creation of proposals, quotes, and technical documentation for potential clients
• Participate in sales meetings and customer negotiations, providing senior-level technical insight and risk assessment
• Support Operations and Project Management teams during execution, resolving technical challenges as they arise
• Estimate project costs and consult on product design with Sales and Production teams to optimize manufacturability and delivery
• Perform installation support and advanced troubleshooting for new and custom products in the field as needed
• Develop tools, documentation, and standards to transition mature products to internal teams
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior Project Engineers

Requirements
