Job summary

System One is seeking a Sr Project Engineer in Tulsa, OK. You will lead high-level development projects, serve as the primary technical authority, and respond to advanced customer inquiries regarding product specifications and integration capabilities.

You will educate sales staff and customers on technical solutions, ensure quality standards, and support proposals, quotes, and documentation. You will mentor junior engineers and collaborate across sales, production, and field teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 10+ years of experience in a related engineering field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to explain complex concepts to non-technical clients.
• Strong time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills; meet deadlines and develop creative solutions.
• Strong technical judgment and ability to troubleshoot complex engineering challenges.
• Ability to work independently and produce high-quality deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) or technical documentation software.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Proficiency with SolidWorks CAD or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Take the lead on high-level development projects, acting as the primary technical authority throughout sales and execution lifecycle.
• Respond to advanced customer inquiries regarding product specs, features, and integration capabilities.
• Educate sales staff and customers on technical solutions.
• Ensure proposed solutions meet quality standards.
• Assist in proposals, quotes, and technical documentation for potential clients.
• Participate in sales meetings and customer negotiations with senior technical insight.
• Support Operations and Project Management during execution; resolve technical challenges.
• Estimate project costs and advise on product design for manufacturability and delivery.
• Provide installation support and advanced troubleshooting for products.
• Develop tools, documentation, and standards to transition mature products to internal teams.
• Mentor and guide junior Project Engineers.
