This role requires an experienced and highly organized professional to serve as the central point of coordination between multiple additive manufacturing vendors, a primary systems integrator, and various subcontractors. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in managing complex projects and a technical understanding of both manufacturing processes and the IT/security structures required to protect them. You will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle—from requirement definition to final delivery—assuring that all technical goals, schedules, and budgetary constraints are met. This position involves significant stakeholder and customer interaction, demanding exceptional communication and leadership skills.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary technical project lead under the guidance of the Program Manager, coordinating all activities between additive manufacturing technology vendors, the manufacturing cell integrator, and other subcontractors.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage a detailed project schedule, identifying key milestones, critical paths, and resource requirements.
  • Define and oversee the implementation of the IT architecture, network structure, and cybersecurity measures for the integrated manufacturing cell to ensure data integrity and protection against vulnerabilities.
  • Translate customer needs and high-level goals into clear, actionable technical requirements for all project partners.
  • Facilitate regular meetings and communications with all stakeholders, including vendors, customers, and internal leadership, to ensure alignment and report progress.
  • Proactively identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve complex issues that arise between the various project teams.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, manufacturing engineering, or related technical field and 8-12 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience managing complex engineering or manufacturing projects involving multiple external vendors and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated expertise in project management principles, including schedule management, resource allocation, and risk assessment.
  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, network architecture, and/or cybersecurity principles.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to track multiple parallel workstreams and sub‑contracts effectively.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Direct experience with additive manufacturing (3D printing) technologies and processes.
  • Experience with energetic materials processing or operations.
  • Familiarity with U.S. Government cybersecurity frameworks such as CMMC (Levels 1-3) and/or DoD Cloud Computing Security Requirements for Impact Levels (e.g., IL5).
  • Experience with system integration projects, particularly involving the development of custom manufacturing cells or automated systems.
  • Previous experience managing projects for government or other highly regulated industries.
  • Proficiency with project management software such as Microsoft Project or Jira.
