Job summary

Job description

The Defense Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Laboratory Technician to work at our Picatinny Arsenal, NJ site. The Senior Laboratory Technician will support research, development, test and evaluation (RDT&E) activities on US Army programs.

Primary Responsibilities.

• Participate in the execution of studies that include synthesis, scale-up, and formulation of energetic materials for various applications
• Support a broad range of studies in support of development of new energetic materials and formulations for additive manufacturing applications
• Responsible for experimental equipment maintenance, setup and takedown
• Conduct analysis and testing as directed
• Collect analytical and test data and prepare reports.

Basic Qualifications.

• High school diploma and 2-4 years of relevant experience in an R&D laboratory setting.
• Familiarity with the operation of scientific laboratory equipment.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Ability to work in a team-based environment.

Preferred Qualifications.

• Knowledge of energetics and/or additive manufacturing a plus.
