Responsibilities

• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and cost tracking logs.
• Review drawings, specs, contracts to identify conflicts and gaps.
• Track budgets, labor, costs, and milestones; assist forecasting and reports.
• Coordinate procurement and monitor long-lead equipment per schedule.

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Sr Project Engineer in Ashville, OH. This is a full-time, onsite Senior Project Engineer opportunity supporting a large-scale electrical construction project in Ashville, Ohio. The ideal candidate brings five or more years of project engineering or project management experience in electrical construction, with a strong command of project documentation, cost tracking, procurement, and field coordination. Candidates with data-center or mission-critical project experience are strongly preferred.

Job Type: Permanent

Annual Salary: $105,000 to $130,000 Annually BOE

Responsibilities:

• Support the planning and execution of a large-scale electrical construction project from mobilization through closeout
• Coordinate daily with the Project Manager, Superintendent, field leadership, general contractor, and project stakeholders
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, drawing logs, and procurement logs to ensure accurate and timely documentation throughout the project lifecycle
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, contracts, and scopes of work to identify conflicts, gaps, and scope discrepancies
• Track project budgets, labor productivity, cost commitments, cost projections, and schedule milestones
• Assist with forecasting, billing, change management, and preparation of monthly project reports
• Coordinate material and equipment procurement to align with the construction schedule and monitor long-lead electrical equipment for potential delivery or scheduling issues
• Participate in owner, general contractor, coordination, and progress meetings and document action items and decisions
• Support quality-control and safety expectations throughout all phases of construction
• Assist with project closeout activities including punch-list completion, commissioning documentation, and project turnover

Qualifications:

• Five or more years of experience as a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or Project Manager in electrical construction
• Strong working knowledge of commercial, industrial, or mission-critical electrical systems
• Demonstrated experience managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, cost reports, and project forecasting
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and construction contracts
• Experience coordinating material and equipment procurement and tracking long-lead items
• Proficiency with construction management and scheduling software
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with field teams, general contractors, and project owners
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced onsite construction environment and take significant ownership of project coordination tasks
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
• Data-center or mission-critical project experience is a strong plus

Physical Requirements:

• Regularly required to sit, stand, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard for prolonged periods
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision for extended computer and drawing review work
• Must be able to walk construction sites and perform periodic field inspections in varying environmental conditions
• May need to occasionally stoop, kneel, bend, or climb stairs and ladders during site visits
• Light to moderate lifting may be required on occasion
• Must be aware of and comply with applicable OSHA safety standards while on project sites

Pay Transparency:

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $105,000 to $130,000 annually, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
