Job description

Job Title: Senior Project Analyst / Assistant

Brown and Caldwell has an immediate opening for a Senior Project Analyst/Assistant to support environmental engineering consulting projects. This position is part of our growing Eastern Business Unit and can be based in any of our Midwest offices or remotely. It offers a great opportunity for professional growth in a dynamic consulting environment.

Responsibilities
  1. Project Delivery: Collaborate with Project Managers to monitor and coordinate projects, ensuring compliance with internal standards regarding budget, documentation, communication, scheduling, and quality control. Assist in training new project managers on internal systems and project delivery expectations.
  2. Budget/Financial Management: Maintain awareness of project budgets and financial status. Assist in establishing and updating budgets, review financial reports, and coordinate with accounting for invoicing and expense management.
  3. Project Reporting: Lead month-end reporting, including project health assessments, earned value analysis, invoicing, and workload forecasting.
  4. Project Setup and Closeout: Support contract management, create project plans, and track deliverables in collaboration with legal, safety, and contractual teams.
  5. General Support: Provide daily project assistance as directed by project managers.
  6. Team Collaboration: Build effective relationships with team members and support staff.
Qualifications
  • Minimum three years of experience in project accounting, budgeting, or project support; Bachelor's degree in Business Administration preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; skills in MS Project, ProjectWise, and Access are a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, proactive attitude, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime; valid driver's license may be required.
Compensation & Benefits

Starting salary ranges vary by location, with details provided below. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, bonus opportunities, paid time off, and more.

  • Location A: $31.00 - $42.60
  • Location B: $34.10 - $46.90
  • Location C: $37.20 - $51.10
