Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Launch Readiness: Lead material planning activities for new program launches and engineering changes, ensuring parts, timelines, suppliers, and system updates are aligned before production implementation.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: Coordinate decisions and communication across Supply Chain, NPI, PLM, GSM, Planning, Operations, Finance, Packaging Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Program Management, Sales, Service, and supplier partners.
• SAP/BOM Accuracy: Own the implementation and validation of SAP BOM effectivity dates, runout analysis, and material data updates.
• Team Leadership: Guide Launch Material Planners and the Material Master team in tracking upcoming changes and accountability.
• Process Improvement: Develop and improve logistics and SAP processes, procedures, and KPI tracking.
• Escalation Management: Identify launch risks and delays, drive timely resolution through escalation paths.
• Executive Communication: Provide accurate launch updates and readiness status to leadership.

Lucid’s Logistics and Material Planning teams help bring new vehicle programs, engineering changes, and production updates into the manufacturing environment with accuracy and clear timing. The team partners closely with Supply Chain, NPI, PLM, GSM, Manufacturing, Finance, Packaging Engineering, Program Management, Sales, Service, and supplier teams to align material readiness across the business. This group is unique in its ability to connect early launch planning with production execution, ensuring new parts and changes are implemented in SAP, BOM records, and physical inventory processes. The team’s work directly supports launch stability, production continuity, and scalable logistics processes across Lucid’s manufacturing operations.

About the Role

The Senior Program Manager, Launch Material Planning is a senior-level role based at Lucid’s Phoenix, Arizona location and reports to the Material Planning Launch Manager. This role exists to strengthen how Lucid coordinates new part introductions, engineering changes, launch timelines, and handoffs between launch teams, production teams, vehicle program management, suppliers, and series material planning. In the first 12 months, this person will own launch material planning execution, SAP/BOM change readiness, escalation management, and process improvements that support timely and accurate implementation of new parts and engineering changes. Success will be measured by clear launch handoffs, accurate system updates, reduced implementation delays, improved KPI performance, and stronger cross-functional alignment. A strong candidate will have the opportunity to influence launch readiness across both planning systems and physical production execution, connecting strategic program timelines with day-to-day manufacturing outcomes.

What You Own

• Team Leadership: Guide Launch Material Planners and the Material Master team in tracking upcoming changes, resolving gaps, and maintaining clear accountability across launch and change processes.
• Process Improvement: Develop and improve logistics and SAP processes, procedures, and KPI tracking to support scalable launch execution and continuous improvement.
• Escalation Management: Identify launch risks, material planning constraints, supplier lead-time issues, and implementation delays, then drive timely resolution through the appropriate escalation paths.
• Executive Communication: Provide accurate launch updates, material readiness status, and decision-ready information to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field
• Five years of experience in logistics, material planning, supply chain, or manufacturing program execution, including experience in automotive or complex manufacturing environments.
• Two years of experience leading people, projects, or cross-functional workstreams.
• Experience supporting new program launches, engineering changes, material readiness, SAP/BOM updates, MRP, or related ERP workflows.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform the essential duties of the position, including understanding work instructions, safety procedures, and job-related communications.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or advanced degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Excel, Microsoft Office, Delmia, or similar planning and project management tools.
• Experience building launch processes, material planning procedures, KPI dashboards, or continuous improvement workflows.
• Experience collaborating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve material availability, lead-time, or implementation challenges.
• Experience communicating program status, risks, and recommendations to leadership audiences.

Work Requirement

This role is fully onsite at Lucid’s Phoenix, Arizona location. Daily in-person presence is required to support launch planning, production coordination, stakeholder alignment, and material readiness activities.

Hourly/non-exempt employees accrue up to 120 hours paid time off, and salaried/exempt employee accrue up to 160 hours paid time off.
