OPPORTUNITY VILLAGE is seeking a Senior Production Assembler at ENGELSTAD CAMPUS in Las Vegas, NV. You will perform advanced production assembly, packaging, and quality control to support multiple production lines and ensure contract delivery.

Under supervision, you will maintain workflow, meet quality standards, and assist with training while upholding OV core values and safety procedures in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years of production, assembly, packaging, warehouse, manufacturing, or related work experience.
  • Obtain pallet jack certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize appropriate methods for working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Complete advanced packaging, assembly, labeling, stenciling, and production tasks to specification with consistent speed, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Ensure production requirements, quality standards, and customer specifications are met consistently.
  • Support efficient workflow by helping organize materials, supplies, workstations, and completed products for assigned production lines.
  • Perform quality assurance checks by measuring, inspecting, counting, or verifying finished products, components, or assemblies for accuracy, function, and adherence to specifications.
  • Assist with package reports, counts, product documentation, and proper marking of containers, including stenciling, labeling, and related identification requirements.
  • Work cooperatively with production leads, team members, and volunteers to meet quotas, goals, and customer deadlines.
  • Consistently meet or exceed established production matrix goals, including productivity, quality, accuracy, and timeliness standards for assigned work areas.
  • Monitor tools, equipment, supplies, and work areas to confirm proper functionality, cleanliness, and readiness for a successful production process.
  • Identify and communicate production issues, quality concerns, material shortages, or process delays to production leadership in a timely manner.
  • Follow established production procedures, work instructions, quality control procedures, and correct pallet-stacking patterns.
  • Participate in safety initiatives, including Safety Committee activities, and support the implementation of established safety procedures.
  • Assist with training support for new or less experienced team members by demonstrating proper procedures and answering routine process questions as directed, without assuming supervisory authority.
  • Make every effort to increase productivity and efficiency without compromising quality, safety, and customer requirements.
  • Report suspected Abuse, Neglect, Exploitation, Isolation, and Abandonment (ANEIA) immediately as mandated by state law.

SUMMARY

Under the direction of the ERC Production Manager, Production Supervisors, and Production Leads, the Senior Production Assembler performs advanced production assembly, packaging, quality control, and material-handling tasks in support of Opportunity Village’s (OV) various production lines within the Employment Resources Center. This position serves as an experienced production team member who helps maintain workflow, accuracy, safety, and quality standards to support successful contract execution and delivery to OV’s customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Preferred: Experience working with individuals with disabilities.
