Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain compensation, benefits, and leave programs in compliance with applicable laws and policies.
  • Maintain accurate compensation, benefits, and leave data in the HRIS system.
  • Coordinate benefits enrollment, open enrollment, and related communications.
  • Partner with Payroll, Finance, leadership, and vendors to resolve issues.
  • Manage FMLA and other leave programs including notices and tracking.
  • Oversee Workers’ Compensation claims from reporting to resolution.
  • Support annual compensation processes including salary reviews and merit increases.
  • Stay current on regulatory changes and best practices in compensation and benefits.

This role serves as a key resource to team members and managers, providing guidance on benefits, leave, compensation, and Workers’ Compensation matters while coordinating enrollment, leave administration, claims, annual compensation processes, and related communications. The Specialist works closely with internal and external partners to ensure programs are administered accurately, efficiently, and confidentially. Utilize appropriate methods for working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.2. Report suspected Abuse, Neglect, Exploitation, Isolation, and Abandonment (ANEIA) immediately as mandated by state law.3. Some travel to a variety of locations in the Las Vegas area.4. Must be able to meet all requirements of OV vehicle policies and travel:* Between worksite locations* Within the community5. Administer and maintain the company’s compensation, benefits, and leave programs in compliance with applicable laws and company policies.6. Maintain accurate compensation, benefits, and leave data in the HRIS system.7. Coordinate team member benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, and other company-sponsored benefits.8. Serve as a primary point of contact for team members and managers regarding benefits, leave, and related inquiries.9. Manage benefits enrollment, qualifying life events, annual open enrollment, and related team member communications.10. Partner with fellow HR team members, Payroll, Finance, leadership, and external vendors to resolve compensation and benefits issues and ensure accurate and timely processing.11. Manage relationships with benefits brokers, consultants, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators.12. Assist with the evaluation, implementation, and ongoing administration of benefits programs, compliance, policies, procedures, and systems.13. Administer FMLA and other applicable federal, state, and local leave programs, including eligibility, required notices, certifications, tracking, and return-to-work processes.14. Maintain confidential leave records and coordinate related payroll, benefit deductions, and leave-related pay adjustments.15. Support annual compensation processes, including salary reviews, merit increases, bonus calculations, promotions, and compensation adjustments.16. Manage Workers’ Compensation claims from initial reporting through resolution, including claim documentation, carrier communication, and return-to-work coordination.17. Serve as a resource to team members and managers regarding Workers’ Compensation processes, medical restrictions, transitional duty, and return-to-work requirements.18. Maintain accurate Workers’ Compensation records and monitor claim status, lost time, restrictions, and return-to-work dates.19. Monitor compensation, benefits, leave, and Workers’ Compensation practices for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations; assist with required filings and audits.20. Prepare and maintain benefits, leave, and compliance documentation, policies, procedures, and team member resources.21. Stay current on regulatory changes, market trends, and emerging practices in compensation, benefits, and leave administration.22. Adhere to Opportunity Village's established policies and procedures.23. May be assigned other duties as needed.**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES**This position does not directly supervise team members but oversees projects involving multiple stakeholders, each with individual deadlines and responsibilities.
