This role involves defining strategy, building product backlog, and managing key initiatives while partnering with engineering to ensure a top-tier end-to-end product experience. The focus is on keeping the consumer at the center of building, testing, and go-to-market plans for all products in the portfolio. Performance metrics include market analysis, financial and operational data, and product value enhancement.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Understand competitive landscape, market, and consumer needs
  • Analyze performance data to enhance existing products and identify new opportunities
  • Oversee a portfolio of directed spend products, including defining and executing product roadmaps and strategies
  • Drive high-quality execution of new products across organizational units
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on marketplace and product topics
  • Support sales and account management activities
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to adapt product strategies
  • Develop and advocate for product positions at all organizational levels, including executive leadership
  • Navigate ambiguity with ease

Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years in non-technical Business Strategy, Product Management, or Product Development within healthcare
  • 5+ years in M&A, Medicaid, and commercial products
  • 5+ years in benefit planning and member materials development
  • 5+ years working with CMS-required materials
  • Experience achieving goals in a matrix environment and influencing others
  • Strong communication skills at all organizational levels, including executive presentations
  • Remote employees must adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy

The salary range is $106,800 to $194,200 annually, based on full-time employment, experience, and other factors. Benefits include comprehensive packages, incentives, stock purchase options, and 401k contributions.
