Job summary

Brady Corporation in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Product Manager to guide the development of a strategic plan and execution of a comprehensive portfolio roadmap for assigned category offerings.

You will collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Finance and R&D to maximize sales and profitability, own product financials, and drive revenue growth across multiple market channels while leading cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Polymer Sciences, Materials Science or related fields.
  • 3+ years in a hands-on technical/engineering role.
  • Minimum 2 years in product management, technical sales, or product marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Support development and implementation of a long term product Roadmap with focus on New Product Development.
  • Work with customers, product managers, stakeholders, and executives to define product vision and needs.
  • Gather insights via VOC, Market Research, and trends to inform business cases.
  • Drive creation of future materials and configurations across the organization.
  • Prioritize investments and product requirements with global teams.
  • Ensure consistency across product lines and drive revenue and margin growth.
  • Lead commercialization strategies into multiple market channels.
  • Identify internal and external business challenges and recommend improvements.
  • Solve complex problems with broad business impact.

What We Need

The Product Manager supports the development of a strategic plan and the execution of a comprehensive portfolio roadmap for assigned category offerings. Works in close cooperation with Marketing, Sales, Finance and R&D teams for the purpose of maximizing sales & profitability under the supervision of Product Management Leadership.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Support the development and implementation of a long term product Roadmap with a strong focus on New Product Development, developing competitive advantages and in alignment with a broad portfolio strategy that ensures the long term health of the portfolio. This includes full life cycle management of the portfolio and all products offered in the category.
  • Work closely with customers, product managers, stakeholders, and executives to define product vision, business goals, customer, and end user needs and how these will be met.
  • Gathers and analyzes customer insights via Voice of the Customer (VOC), Market Research, economic and technology trends resulting in better materials meeting diverse customer needs and developing more accurate business cases.
  • Evangelize and drive creation of the future of novel materials and innovative material configurations across the organization.
  • Gather knowledge about the competitive environment that drives action to Sales, Marketing and R&D.
  • Work with global and regional product managers, stakeholders, and development teams to prioritize investments, product requirements, and portfolio requirements
  • Ensure consistency across product lines and shared problem-solving between teams working on interdependent projects
  • Own product financials and performance to drive revenue and margin dollar growth while explaining and mitigating risk for the organization
  • Lead and execute commercialization strategies into multiple market channels
  • Anticipate internal and external business challenges or opportunities; recommend process, product or service improvements
  • Solve unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the business
What You Will Need To Be Successful
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Polymer Sciences, Materials Science or related fields
  • 3+ years of experience in a hands on technical or engineering related role.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in product management, technical sales, or product marketing
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong sense of personal and professional accountability
  • Experience with requirements gathering and prioritization
  • Experience interacting with both internal stakeholders and external customers
  • Up to 25% travel, international and domestic
