Job Title: Sr. Search Consultant | Account Manager @ Tong Miller & Associates SHRM-CP

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr Plastics Development Engineer to assist with the New Product Development Introduction process. The ideal candidate will have experience in plastics profile extrusion processes and tools, and demonstrated experience with SOLIDWORKS.

The Opportunity:

• Work directly with internal/external customers to provide new and innovative solutions to support our new product development and introduction process.
• Support design for manufacturing with the customer or applications engineering, including tooling and process design and development.
• Design and develop new plastic products based on market requirements and company objectives.
• Develop prototypes and oversee testing for performance and safety.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
• Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost-efficiency, and performance.
• Provide technical guidance and support throughout the product lifecycle.

What we are seeking:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field (preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in plastic product development or related field.
• 3+ years of experience developing complex profile extrusion tools and processes, including profile vacuum sizing and various in-line cutting methods (saws, fly-cutters, etc.).
• Broad knowledge of polymer materials – plastics and thermoplastics.
• Proven experience with SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
