Job Purpose

The purpose of the Purchasing Specialist III is to assess supplier quotes, review schedules, understand processes to create parts, and manage costs of manufacturing, supplier, and delivery management.

Key Accountabilities

1. Manage supplier quotations to ensure specifications and styling intent are captured; analyze gaps and negotiate with suppliers.
2. Lead all cost analysis activities for vehicle components to meet cost targets, establish cost tables, and propose layout selections.
3. Coordinate supplier activities related to development schedules, tooling, and production to ensure timely fulfillment.
4. Create documentation to justify proposals for cost evaluation using cost tables and supplier data.
5. Support production needs of Honda manufacturing facilities.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in business, quantitative analysis, engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Experience in project management, cost analysis, product development, or manufacturing.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Manufacturing knowledge and ability to work in a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
